These terms and conditions shall supercede any subsequent terms or conditions included with any purchase order, whether or not such terms or conditions are signed by fishtankfish.com.au
Fishtankfish.com.au reserves the right to make changes to this site and these terms and conditions at any time.
Order Acceptance Policy
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. Fishtankfish.com.au reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason. Fishtankfish.com.au reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order, without prior notice to you, to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item or to refund you for part/full amount of your order.
Liability
Fishtankfish.com.au is not liable for any losses or damages caused by this website or any website linked to or from this website.
We reserve the right to refuse any order without giving reason. Upon cancellation of an order we will make all reasonable attempts to contact you using the details provided. All received monies will be refunded using the method received.
Orders
All live fish orders placed are subject to availability. In the event Fishtankfish.com.au are unable to supply your order, in part or in full, you will be refunded using the same method received.
Fishtankfish.com.au is not able to take requests for size, gender, colours ect for fish unless it is stated in the product description. Any requests will generally not be taken into consideration. As the fish are shipped to us at random and this is how we ship them.
All images are used for reference purposes only.
Sizes on the website are an estimate, so give it 1cm grace. Fish are measured from the tip of the nose to tip of the tail. Sometimes we will send a slightlly larger (more expensive) size if the smaller ones are out of stock.
Delivery
The delivery times provided by Fishtankfish.com.au are estimates only. We will not be held accountable for late deliveries or loss or damage relating to late deliveries. Once orders depart our HQ they are in hands of shipping companies & couriers. ALL shipped items include tracking information. Fishtankfish.com.au are not liable for tracking issues but we endeavour to maintain contact with you and assist to locate where possible.
All deliveries by either courier company will require a signature upon delivery. We do instruct our couriers to leave the order at the address if they feel it is safe to do so. This is at the couriers discretion and is on a case by case situation. If no one is able to sign for the delivery you may need to go and collect it from your nearest depot.
In the event that multiple items are ordered, part deliveries may be made. Please ensure you enter the correct delivery address as it should be written on your order. Fishtankfish.com.au can not be held responsible for incorrectly entered delivery addresses.
Acceptance of the Goods
The buyer is responsible for inspecting all live fish & consumables for fault and notifying Fishtankfish.com.au on the day of receiving the goods should there be a problem. Fishtankfish.com.au will not be held liable for any deliveries left at your address 6 hours after delivery or for orders that were not signed to receive at the delviery address for example orders requiring depot collection or where redelivery is required in the following days.
Change of Address
Fishtankfish.com.au cannot be held responsible for an incorrect address being entered on your order. All orders will be shipped to the address you included when you placed your order. If this is incorrect please contact us immediately.
Warranties
All warranties offered are the original manufacturers warranties and not that of Fishtankfish.com.au
Pricing
Fishtankfish.com.au prices are subject to change without notice. By placing your order you agree to the prices displayed during checkout & understand that no further discounts will be applied after checkout is complete.
Refunds & Returns
Returns must be in as new condition with original packaging. Faulty goods will be dealt with as per the manufacturer’s warranty.
We recommend sending returns via registered post as we do not accept responsibility for lost items.
We will happily exchange or refund your item provided the item and its packaging is in its original condition and returned to us in a timeley manner.
REFUNDS AND RETURNS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR LIVE FISH, CONSUMABLES i.e food OR SALE ITEMS
Dead On Arrival Policy
In the unfortunate event that any of your fish are dead on arrival, Fishtankfish.com.au will promptly provide you with a store credit or a refund to the amount of the deceased fish once your DOA claim has been processed and you have correctly followed the instructions which can be found on our Shipping & Retuns page.
You will be required to take very clear photos of the fish in it’s original unopened packaging and email us at enquiries@fishtankfish.com.au. And download the claims form from our website and email it back to us. No store credit will be issued unless the fish arrives dead in the box and pictures have been provided.
No refunds will be provided for fish that arrive and have been released into your tank.
The buyer is responsible for inspecting all live fish & consumables and notifying us on the same day of courier delivery, we are able to obtain actual delivery times from the delivery drivers and the courier companies websites. Fishtankfish.com.au will not be held liable for any deliveries left at your address when a signature is not obtained or if delivery was attempted and subsequent redelivery was made at a later date. If this is the case our live guarantee will not apply.
ALL SHIPPING COSTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
Order Cancellations
If notified before goods have been dispatched, Fishtankfish.com.au can cancel your order however a 20% handling fee will be charged and subtracted from the refunded amount.

If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, Fishtankfish.com.au shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge.
